You can use either the mouse pointer or the keyboard to get around the SuperNova Control Panel.

When using the keyboard, the most important hot key to remember is the keyboard command to open the SuperNova Control Panel when the Control Panel does not have focus.

Press LEFT CONTROL + SPACEBAR to open the SuperNova Control Panel.

Press ESCAPE to hide the SuperNova Control Panel and go back to your application.

You can use the following keyboard commands to get around the SuperNova Control Panel:

 Menu Bar Commands

 Press

 Move focus to the menu bar

 ALT
 Move focus across the menu bar

 LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW
 Open the menu item that has focus

 DOWN ARROW or ENTER

 Move to and open a corresponding menu

  ALT + underlined letter

 Move through an open menu

  DOWN ARROW or UP ARROW

 Open a sub-menu

 LEFT ARROW or ENTER

 Select a menu item

  ENTER

 

 Button Bar and Dialog Box Commands

 Press

 Move to the next control

 TAB

 Move to the previous control

 SHIFT + TAB

 Click a button, toggle a check box or select an option (radio button)

 SPACEBAR

 Select the active button (the button with the outline)

 ENTER 

 Cancel

 ESCAPE
 Move directly to a control

 ALT + underlined letter

 Open the next tab in a multi-tab dialog box

 CONTROL + TAB
 Move to the previous tab in a multi-tab dialog box

 CONTROL + SHIFT + TAB

 

Note: For keys listed above that include “Underlined letter”, this refers to the letter on the menu item, button or other control which is visually underlined, for example the “File” menu will have an underlined “F”, so the shortcut to open this would be ALT + F.

Trainer Tip: These keyboard commands are standard Windows commands. You can use these keyboard commands throughout Windows.
