Chapter 11: Media: News, Radio Stations and Podcasts
13. Media
You can use Media to keep up-to-date with the latest news and entertainment available on the Internet by reading the news, listening to radio stations and listening to podcasts .
IMPORTANT: Some content requires RealPlayer to be installed. If you do not have support for this content then SuperNova displays a warning message. The message includes links to web sites where you can download the necessary files.
Read a news article
You can open, browse and read news articles available on the Internet. To do this from the SuperNova control panel:
- Press ALT + M. The Media menu opens.
- DOWN ARROW to News and press ENTER. A list of popular news feeds opens.
- Use the Arrow Keys to select a feed and press ENTER. A list of news headlines opens.
- Use the Arrow Keys to select a headline and press ENTER.
- The dialog box closes and the news article opens in a web browser.
Listen to a radio station
You can listen to popular radio stations available on the Internet. To do this from the SuperNova control panel:
- Press ALT + M. The Media menu opens.
- DOWN ARROW to Radio and press ENTER. A list of popular radio stations opens.
- Use the Arrow Keys to select a radio station and press ENTER.
- The dialog box closes and the radio station begins to play in an associated media player, for example, Windows Media Player.
Listen to a podcast
You can listen to popular podcasts available on the Internet. To do this from the SuperNova control panel:
- Press ALT + M. The Media menu opens.
- DOWN ARROW to Podcasts and press ENTER. A list of popular podcasts opens.
- Use the Arrow Keys to select a podcast and press ENTER.
- The dialog box closes and the podcast begins to play in an associated media player, for example, Windows Media Player.
